The Goodness of the Lord

Have you had one of those days when you are in awe of the goodness of God? Thinking and pondering through our life's circumstances, we can see the hand of God always at our side. Sometimes we feel like God is so far away, but He never leaves our side.

When I look back over the many times in my life, when life seemed so unfair, I can now see how God was faithful to sustain me. He provided all I needed in that moment. I may have been confused about what I thought I needed with what I actually wanted, but He always took care of me.

God's ways are sometimes hard to understand...it is like when we try to teach our children something - they may not be willing at first, but our intentions as parents is only for their success and well-being. How much more does our Heavenly Father care for us?

We may not feel comfortable when we get "squeezed" and go through the tough times, but He is faithful to help us through if we are willing to trust in Him. Do you trust Him to take care of you?

Reflect on your life...Remember the times the Lord brought you through a circumstance where you thought there was no hope...Be Thankful today that He continues to care for you!

Today is a New Day....

When we awake in the morning to a new day we should remember that God's strength and love is new every morning.  Yesterday is in the past.  Sometimes it is hard to let go of the circumstances of yesterday.  It is not easy to try to move forward, especially if you are surrounded by doubt, relationships, and situations that continue to feed those difficult times.

We can only be the best that we can be.  Try harder to take responsibility for your actions and to take control of your situation.  Do your best to help those around you to become the best they can.  We cannot always be selfish, but we must remember that we all are a piece of the puzzle. We must work together to achieve a finished product. 

Look around you today - how can you help someone near you achieve their dream?  Are you a help or are you a hinderance in their way?  Work out the kinks and strive to help others, and this in turn will help you.

You Are Not Defeated!!

Is the circumstances of life just crushing you? Do you feel like there is no way out, or no solution to your mountain of problems? Do you feel worthless or that you have made too many mistakes to make it right? You are not alone. We all feel defeated and downcast at times.

In these times we must remember how BIG our God is.

Don’t forget Satan is a liar and tries to deceive. Do not let his voice overpower the Holy Spirit’s sweet whisper. He will try to make you feel less than worthy and try to make you lose faith in yourself. Don’t let him do it. God’s word to you is His spoken promise over your life. He will bring to pass that which He promised, if you are faithful to obey. We have made it this far…..we must hold on to the promise and have faith to believe in the ability that God has given us. When we face difficulties and defeat, it is easy to give up and think that there is no hope. We must remember how Joseph stayed faithful, even though he was wrongfully accused. God’s promise….the dream Joseph saw….helped him to stay strong. He believed in God and he believed in himself, and God’s promise was fulfilled.

Sometimes it is hard to believe in yourself. Do not let the enemy deceive you into believing you have no worth. You must believe that God has chosen you for such a time as this. Take refuge in the comfort of His arms, and rest in His love. Know that if He is on your side, you can never be defeated. And YES YOU CAN MAKE IT!!!!

Just Say The Name.....

Don't give up....I know that today you are on the verge...you are at the brink....the place where you feel you have nowhere to go.....but do not give up.....Because He knows the Plans He has for you.....So when you feel like your hope is gone....

Say the name of Jesus... 

There is no other name I know, that can calm your fears, and dry your tears, and wipe away your pain.  When you don't know what else to pray, when you can't find the words to say, Say the name of Jesus....

There are times when words cannot express the fear, despair and discomfort you feel.  When you try to pray, your pain is so strong that you cannot even put your words together.  At those times, just Say the Name of Jesus.  There is something about that name.  There is healing and deliverance in His name.  He is your Saviour and Friend. He sticks closer than a brother.  He is going to make a way, when you say the Name of Jesus.

Make a commitment today, that no matter how bad it gets, no matter how the circumstances may stack against you - that you will always worship Him.  Give Him the Glory.  Only He knows our deepest pain and fear, and only He can deliver Him.  Remember He does not respond to your pain, but He will respond to your Pursuit of Him.  

"We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield" (Psalm 33:20)

But I trust in you, O LORD; I say, 'You are my God'.  My times are in your hands; deliver me from my enemies and from those who pursue me.  Let your face shine on your servant; save me in your unfailing love. Let me not be put to shame, O LORD for I have cried out to you;"  (Psalm 31:14-17a)

"Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD" (Psalm 31:24)

So today, lay down your burdens at His feet, and say the Name of Jesus.  Worship Him, although you are weak.  He will hear you....He will break the yoke, and lift the heavy burden.  He will respond when you reach for Him.

Dear Heavenly Father,  I feel your presence as I write this morning.  I know you know what my friend is going through this morning.  They are on the verge of a breakthrough, but they have become weak and weary.  I ask that you RESTORE them this morning.  Give them the hope they need to face today, to NOT GIVE UP.  I know that their heart is breaking and yearning for peace and comfort.  You are the peacegiver and the only who can comfort them.  Please reveal yourself today, and let them be encouraged by your Word.  Please use me to convey your words to those who are weak and heavy laden.  I know you know the Plans you have for them.  A plan for a good future.... I thank you for your goodness and mercy and that you remain a strong foundation.  I thank you for the deliverance you have provided.  Thou art a MIGHTY God.  In the precious name of Jesus I pray....Amen

Does anyone really care?

Do you have people in your life who are completely clueless when it comes to understanding you?  Do they always act selfish and think that only their feelings matter?  It happens in everyone's life.  Even those closest to you can be the ones who can cause the most damage emotionally in your life!  But even in those situations, lean on the Lord.  He really is the only one who can comfort you in your times of trouble.   Many times, no matter what you do to support and lift up others, they are never there to lift you up in your times of need.  Sometimes you might feel like you are all alone.  We have all felt this way in our lives.  You mustn't lose hope!  Although people can disappoint, our Lord never does!!!  

In my times of disappointment and despair, I think about the Lord.  I think about how I have probably made Him feel that way, when I do not pursue Him as I should.  But regardless, in my times of sadness, when I think of Him, joy fills my heart, because I think of His goodness in my life.   He has brought me through situation after situation, when the whole world turns their back....He remains steady, firm, and ready to accept me as I am.

So today, do not give up because you feel alone.  God does not respond to your pain, but He responds to your pursuit of Him.  Take time to sit in His presence and reach for Him....I know He will respond to you when you reach.

You Can Make It!

Do you wake up some mornings wondering how am I going to make it through this day? How did I get to this point? Can things get any worse? How can I take one more step and not completely lose it?

You Are Not Alone! Hopelessness is an evil attempt to delay the greatness within you. We were all born with something special - PURPOSE. We of course were not born into the same circumstances, but we were ALL born with a particular purpose to fulfill.

The enemy knows this! He works hard to deceive us and push us into the direction that allows us to feed on our weaknessess. He doesn't want your greatness to prevail, because that will defeat his purpose.

So, TODAY, regain the confidence in YOU!! Say to yourself,
"God created me in His image, and I WILL do great things through Christ who gives me strength!"

Let this scripture minister to you today and restore hope.

Psalms 27:5 "For in the day of trouble He will keep me safe in His dwelling; He will hide me in the shelter of His tabernacle and set me high upon a rock."

Father, I ask that you strengthen my friend today. You know what trials and struggles they face . Give them the hope that only You can....and let them see the light that shines from your glory that will enable them to face each day with renewed strength. Let them understand their purpose and fulfill it in the days to come. In Jesus Name...Amen.

There is Hope for the Hopeless!

There are days when even the best of the best can feel hopeless.  Although we live in a nation that experiences prosperity, there are many who feel they are without hope.  There are times when it feels like there is no where to go...no other options....but even in those deep, dark spaces in our life, we have to reach to the One that is the foundation of our hope - Jesus Christ. It is so amazing that there is no one on this earth who will continuously stay by your side as He does.  There are so many times when you may feel like all is lost and that He does not see you or care, but He is really working all things for your good.  He sometimes has to shake our nest, get us out of our comfort zone and push us into our next season.  It is many times a painful experience, but if we remain steady, we will make it through.

I heard a line in a movie the other day that made me think.  The character was stating how we sometimes in the moment, think that this is the worst situation possible, that it could not get any worse....but then the next week, or next month, it is much worse than that day!  And when we reflect upon the previous day, we realize, that it really wasn't that bad, and that today, now is much worse!  Our pain is relative....it feeds on the present moment.  Fear attempts to sabotage all sane thoughts and prevent us from taking a step forward.  But as in any situation, to come out, you must take a step.  Each step towards change will be rewarding and will in itself reveal its special purpose for your life.  Today, do not let the enemy destroy all that you have worked for.....everything it took for you to reach this moment.....Trust in the Lord with All Thine Heart, and Lean not unto thine own Understanding. (Prov 3:5)

Lord Jesus, Today I pray for my friend, who is hurting in a way that only you know and feel.  I ask that you will reveal yourself to them and to make your unending love and mercy so evident, it will empower them to have confidence to take a step towards a new day.  I thank you for your greatness and all that you do for us.  Thou art a Mighty God! In Jesus name I pray.....Amen
